Today there are six mobile phone networks, two cable TV networks, two national fibre optic networks (and two more on the way), numerous metropolitan networks in major cities and over 70 licenced carriers. Not to mention satellite-delivered pay TV and Internet, wireless local loop networks and two long-distance microwave networks in the eastern states.
